Query Data from a Local Table
BASICS FOR USING SAP REPORTS
Partners delivering their developments also maintain the proposed values for their applications in the transaction SU22. If customers are developing systems that supply other system landscapes than your system landscape and require different SU24 suggestion values per system, the proposed values in transaction SU22 will be maintained. The profile generator uses only the values of the transaction SU24 in your customer environment as a data base. To maintain the suggestion values, you can use both the System Trace data for permissions from the ST01 or STAUTHTRACE transaction and the data from the permission trace in the SU24 transaction (see Tip 39, "Maintain suggestion values using trace evaluations").
Now, if a user attempts to execute a report (for example, by using the KE30 transaction), the user's permissions for that authorization object are checked. Therefore, you must adjust your permission roles accordingly. If the user does not have permission to access the object, his request is rejected. If it has a corresponding permission, the display will be restricted to the permitted area. Access is still allowed for all characteristics or value fields that are not defined as fields of the authorization object.
Generic access to tables
Privileges control the use of all objects and data contained in the HANA database. In order to use an application, you typically have to assign many different types of privileges to a user. In order to be able to take into account the complex relationships in the allocation of the privileges actually needed in a manageable way, privileges in SAP HANA are bundled into roles. In our example, the role MODELING in the role SAPT04_CONTENT_ACTIVATION is included. In SAP HANA, it is possible to assign a role to multiple roles as well as to multiple roles. This way, complex role hierarchies can be put together.
The security audit log is evaluated via the SM20 or SM20N transaction or the RSAU_SELECT_EVENTS report. We recommend using the report as you have more options to personalise the evaluation and to include archived logs of different application servers in the evaluation.
